Quit-vaping devices in NZ compared: Inhalace, Airquit, Füm and the rest
Updated 23 October 2026. Prices and shipping terms checked on each company's own website that day; sources at the bottom.
The main quit-vaping devices sold to Kiwis all work the same way: you draw air through a flavoured insert instead of a vape, with no nicotine, battery or vapour. The real differences are price, where they ship from and how long you wait. Inhalace and Shosha ship from inside New Zealand; Airquit and Füm ship from overseas.

Inhalace V2
Made for the NZ market by a New Zealand company and shipped from here. It is a necklace, not a pocket device, so it hangs where the vape used to live and you breathe slowly through it like a straw. The Standard size is $49.99 and includes personalised email support. Spice Sticks are $9.99 for three ($39.96 for all five flavours) and each lasts four to seven days. Courier NZ-wide is $9.99. Orders of $55 and over ship free. No change-of-mind returns.
Airquit
A reusable pocket diffuser with adjustable airflow and a 30-day money-back guarantee, priced in pounds: £39.99 for the Starter Kit (about NZ$94) and £5.99 to £7.99 for three cores (about NZ$14 to $19). Its shipping policy lists New Zealand at 4 to 8 business days plus 1 to 4 days processing, and says duties and taxes are the customer's responsibility, so check at checkout. On Trustpilot, which scored the company 1.9 out of 5 from 276 reviews when we checked, several September and October 2026 reviews say orders came from China and took two to three weeks.
Füm
A well-made wooden hand-held device with the widest flavour range here and the highest price: the Prominent is US$69.99 (about NZ$123) before cores, which are US$11.25 for three (about NZ$20) and last about three days each. Füm ships to most countries and its policy names New Zealand, but it quotes no NZ delivery time, and customs charges are yours. Hüm, a similar UK-priced device (starter pack £49.99, about NZ$118), does not name New Zealand in its shipping policy at all, so check before ordering.
Shosha Quit Device
Shosha, the NZ vape retailer, sells two nicotine-free, battery-free devices: the Quit Device ($39.00, adjustable airflow, five flavours) and the Quit Core ($34.99, with a neck chain). Replacement sticks are $5.99 for three. It ships from NZ by NZ Post ($5 non-rural, $7 rural, 1 to 2 working days after dispatch). When we checked, every flavour of both devices showed sold out online, so you may need a store.
Which one for you
- Sold from NZ, here this week: Inhalace (courier NZ-wide) or Shosha, if your flavour is in stock.
- A necklace, not a pocket device: Inhalace is the only necklace here.
- Lowest up-front price: Shosha Quit Core $34.99, Quit Device $39.00, then Inhalace $49.99.
- Lowest running cost: Shosha sticks ($5.99 for 3) and Inhalace Spice Sticks ($9.99 for 3, 4 to 7 days each).
Whichever you pick, pair it with free support. Quitline (0800 778 778) helped nearly 16,000 New Zealanders last year, about 4,000 of them to quit vaping.
FAQ
Is Airquit available in NZ?
Yes. Its shipping policy lists New Zealand at 4 to 8 business days plus 1 to 4 days processing, priced in pounds (Starter Kit £39.99, about NZ$94). It does not say where it ships from; recent Trustpilot reviews report China and two to three weeks.
What is the difference between Inhalace and Füm?
Both are nicotine-free flavoured-air devices with replaceable cores. Füm is a hand-held wooden device from overseas (about NZ$123, plus cores about NZ$20 per three, three days each). Inhalace is a necklace made and shipped in NZ ($49.99, Spice Sticks $9.99 per three, four to seven days each).
Do any of these contain nicotine?
No. Inhalace, Airquit, Füm and the Shosha Quit devices all state they are nicotine-free. None is nicotine replacement therapy; for the nicotine side, ask your GP, pharmacist or Quitline about patches, gum or lozenges.
Which quit-vaping device ships fastest in NZ?
The ones shipping from inside NZ. Shosha quotes 1 to 2 working days non-rural after dispatch (dispatch up to 3 working days). Inhalace ships by courier from NZ. Airquit's policy works out at 5 to 12 business days, and Füm quotes no NZ time.
Does Airquit work? Do any of these actually help you quit?
None is a medical device or a proven standalone quit method, ours included. The evidence: in a randomised trial of 96 abstaining smokers, slow breathing significantly reduced cravings in the moment (Shahab et al. 2013), and replacing a routine beats suppressing it (Wood and Neal 2016). Use one at every craving, alongside support.
Airquit vs Füm: which is cheaper in NZ?
Airquit: Starter Kit about NZ$94, cores about NZ$14 to $19 per three (4 to 6 days each). Füm: about NZ$123 before cores, cores about NZ$20 per three (about 3 days each). Both ship from overseas and both cost more than the NZ-made options.
