Shosha Quit Device in NZ: price, refills and what buyers say
The Shosha Quit Device is a nicotine-free, battery-free, hand-held device you draw air through, sold by the New Zealand vape retailer Shosha for $39.00. There is also a Quit Core at $34.99, which comes with a neck chain. Replacement sticks were $5.99 for three when we last checked.
We make Inhalace, one of the other options, so we've linked our sources for everything about Shosha below.
What it is
You draw air through it and a flavoured stick inside gives the taste. Shosha lists no nicotine, no vapour and no charging. The Quit Device has adjustable airflow and a magnetic spinning part to fidget with.
| Device | Price | Flavours, 3 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Quit Device | $39.00 | Watermelon, Orange, Spearmint and Strawberry in stock, Coffee sold out |
| Quit Core | $34.99 | Cranberry, Grapefruit, Watermelon, Orange and Mint in stock |
Refills and delivery
Replacement sticks were $5.99 for three when we checked in late October, and each device has its own range. Shosha doesn't state how long a stick lasts, which is the number you'd need to compare running costs. The listing says "no refills or charging required", but Shosha also sells replacement sticks, so it's worth budgeting for them.
When we checked in October, Shosha sent orders by NZ Post at $5 non-rural and $7 rural, one to two working days after dispatch. Stock online goes up and down: every flavour showed sold out on 23 October, and on 3 November the Quit Device had four of its five.
What buyers say
There aren't many independent reviews of the device itself. Shosha's Trustpilot page scores the company 1.5 out of 5 from 155 reviews, and most of the ones we read were about vape hardware and refunds rather than the Quit Device. When we checked in October, the Quit Now store, which also sells it, showed six reviews averaging about 4.2 out of 5.
Why go with Inhalace
- It hangs round your neck, so it's right there when the vape would normally come out.
- Free support comes with it: a six-week email programme and a private community of Kiwis doing the same thing.
- We only make quit tools, so you won't be scrolling past vapes to get a refill.
- It's here this week. We send by tracked courier NZ-wide, usually within 1 to 2 business days, and orders of $55 and over ship free.
- Refills are easy on the wallet: Spice Sticks are $9.99 for three and each lasts four to seven days, about 50 to 80 cents a day.
Whichever device you go for, what it gives you is something to reach for when the vape would normally come out, and a slow breath through a narrow opening can take the edge off a craving for a few minutes. We go through the research on our straw breathing science page. If you were on a strong vape, your pharmacist or Quitline (free on 0800 778 778, or text 4006) can help with patches, gum or lozenges as well.
